Denise attended Wilmington College, where she majored in Criminal Justice. She continued her education and attended Lincoln University to earn her Master's Degree in Human Services.
Denise is a Social Services Chief Administrator currently working for the State of Delaware as the Statewide Director of the Treatment Access Service Center (TASC). She has extensive experience working with all organizational levels creating programs and developing staff to support the needs of clients and agency development.
Prior to this role, Denise served at several organizations designing and delivering successful programs in management development, team building, diversity, communications, client centered service, change management, and performance management. Her work has always been focused on meeting the strategic needs of the organization.
For 21 years, Denise was a police officer with the Wilmington Department of Police. There she served in many capacities including the Chief's Liaison with the Community, Psychiatric Consultant on the Crisis Management/ Hostage Negotiation Team, and Platoon Supervisor. She retired from the Wilmington Department of Police with the rank of Master Sergeant in 2007.
Denise is a lifelong Delawarean currently living in Northwood.
